What’s SCIM Provisioning?
SCIM Provisioning allows Account Administrators to manage users in one spot and have ProductPlan handle users automatically. New users added to their IdP or added to a group within their IdP can now be automatically provisioned to ProductPlan. Admins do not have to track which users are leaving their organization and remember to remove their licenses from ProductPlan.
How does it work?
SCIM functionality can be found under the Account (gear icon) and the Security tab. Under the Security tab, an Account Admin will be able to generate a token for the IdP provider.
Customers will now be able to auto-provision and auto-remove users via SCIM. These users will become deactivated and show under a new tab on the User Management page. They will not be able to log in, but their roadmaps will remain until an account administrator transfers or deletes them. Once SCIM is set up, customers can utilize it to keep users and group memberships in sync with their IdPs.
Other Enhancements:
- The User Management page will now display Editor & Viewer Counts in the upper righthand corner. This gives account owners insight into how many individuals have access to the platform, which can be important for both visibility and security.
- Customers have the ability to create more custom fields. Admins will now be able to create up to 100 account level custom fields and 100 custom fields per team. There are more custom options to associate with bars and containers to help your audience understand additional aspects of how your work relates to the overall business.
